My Journey in French Pastry: Challenges, Health Struggles, and a New Start Abroad

To share my story in the world of pastry, I have to start with my roots. Growing up in France with my parents, I found a passion for French pastry early on, inspired by a warm and supportive home environment. This love for pastry led me to start my career young, but I encountered many challenges in the industry, and the demands began affecting my health. Despite my efforts to find success in France, the journey became too difficult to continue. After taking a break and briefly working in a pork factory, I made the life-changing decision to leave France and start fresh in a new country, embracing the unknown with hope.

How Working in a Bakery as a Teen Led to a Life-Changing Decision

When I was 16, I started working in a bakery. I was shy, and working in a bakery as a young woman in 2006, came with its own set of challenges. But I loved working with dough, so I thought it would be easy. However, things turned out very differently. My boss wife grew jealous whenever I work with him and began treating me harshly. Her words took a toll on me, leading to sadness, depression, and weight gain. Feeling stuck and unhappy, I finally decided to make a bold choice: to leave everything behind and start fresh in a new country. Looking back, moving abroad was the best decision of my life.
